Membership
in the Greater Kansas City Dog Training club
is open to all dog owners and dog lovers interested
in the sport of dogs. Meetings are held the
first Thursday of every month except January
and July, at our training facility in Raytown,
at 7 p.m. A short program usually follows
the meeting unless announced in writing to
club members at least 30 days in advance.
Guests should sign in at the door, so we know
you are there! There are no meetings in January
because of our annual awards banquet, or in
July because of the club picnic.
|
Prospective
members are encouraged to come to meetings,
bring their family (including well-behaved canine
members), and apply for membership at the meeting.
(All members bring their own chairs - lawn or
folding type.) The prospective member will then
be required to attend meetings for first and
second readings, as well as be voted into the
club by the members present.
|
As
an all volunteer club, we encourage members
to be fully active on committees and helping
with trials, show-n-go's, demos, classes and
other acitivities as their time and interest
permit. Members do get a cost reduction on classes
and seminars. Without our volunteer members,
the trials and programs we hold during the year
would not be possible.
|
We
are very open to new members, and hope that
you will attend a meeting, and see what we are
all about. For more information, call:
